Remix Recipe №11 · Hard-Mode
The Missing Pieces
Turn a common-practice misconception into a 3-act cinematic reveal of three insights your audience is missing.
The recipe
- Open with the contrarian hook: Say 'The fastest way to kill your [thing] is to think [wrong assumption]' to stop the scroll and set up the story.
- Reveal insight one: Deliver the first missing piece as the setup, framed as something they've quietly been getting wrong.
- Escalate to insight two: Build on it with the second insight so the tension rises toward the reveal.
- Land the biggest insight last: Save the most important insight for the climax, the one that reframes the whole thing.
- Close with a DM keyword: End with a keyword to DM for a free resource, and film the whole thing as a cinematic edit with quick cuts and varied visuals.
Your Studio follows these beats when it writes your script.
“The fastest way to kill your the skill or practice is to think the wrong assumption.”
Your take: three insights your who you help are missing about the skill or practice, biggest saved for last.

Why it worked
The 3-act structure makes a listicle feel like a story: setup, escalation, climax. But the real distinguishing element is the cinematic edit. Quick cuts, varied visuals, and music-driven movement turn what could be static talking-head advice into a watchable reveal. Naming the insights as "things you're missing" hooks curiosity in a way "three mistakes" can't.
Examples
A solo PR coach for B2B founders
“The fastest way to kill your founder podcast tour is to think it's about the podcast.”
She walks through three mistakes (pitching like a guest not a story, reusing the same talking points, ignoring the host's audience), saves the biggest for last (you skipped the warm-up clip the host needs to greenlight you), and closes with 'DM me PITCH for the template.'
A solo gardening course creator teaching small-space growing
“The fastest way to kill your balcony garden is to think it's about the plants.”
She walks through three mistakes (wrong pot depth, watering by schedule instead of soil moisture, ignoring wind exposure), saves the biggest for last (you bought everything in May and skipped the off-season prep), and closes with 'DM me GROW for the starter checklist.'
Multiply it, one reel becomes your week

- Thread: one post per insight, numbered, with the fix attached.
- Carousel: each slide is one insight your reader can check off.
- YouTube: each insight gets its own chapter with examples and fixes.
