The Invisible Cause is an Instagram reel idea that fits almost any coaching business. Read how a solo business coach and a solo fitness coach approached it before you write your own.
The recipe
- Open with the callout: Hit them with 'Why the f* is your [thing] not [outcome]?' straight to camera to stop the scroll.
- Dismiss the surface symptoms: List the obvious fixes they'd reach for first, and wave each one off as not the real issue.
- Name the invisible cause: Reveal the root they'd never have guessed, the thing politer creators won't say out loud.
- Close with a follow CTA: End with a direct line inviting the right people to follow, and reinforce key phrases as on-screen text with hard cuts.
Your Studio follows these beats when it writes your script.
Remix the hook for your brand
“Why the f* is your the thing not the missing result?”
Your take: the surface fixes aren't why, and your who you help would never guess the real the thing problem.

Why it worked
A sharp expletive in the opener cuts through scroll-numbness and signals the creator is going to say the thing politer creators won't. It names the invisible culprit instead of the surface symptom the audience would have guessed, then closes with a direct CTA.
Examples
Solo business coach (for service providers)
“Why the f* is your discovery call not closing?”
She dismisses the surface fixes coaches reach for (a tighter script, more testimonials, a lower price), then names the invisible cause: you're pitching your offer before they feel like you actually get their problem.
Solo fitness coach (for busy moms)
“Why the f* is your client not sticking to the plan?”
She dismisses the surface fixes (a stricter program, daily check-ins, a fancier app), then names the invisible cause: you built the plan for the life she wishes she had, not the one she actually wakes up to.
