The hook template

Nobody what nobody thinks to do the things they think what they assume about them.

The hook in the wild

“Everyone keeps one voicemail they can't delete.”
A grief coach for adults who lost a parent · She describes checking it's still there without ever pressing play, and reframes grief as the tiny rituals we build around a voice.
“Every parent has a drawer of school art they'll never open and never throw out.”
An empty nest coach for parents of college freshmen · She describes the crinkly paper and the backwards letters, and reframes it as keeping proof of a version of your kid that's gone.

One sentence is plenty. Solo fills in the blanks for you.

The structure

  1. The observation

Open by naming one small habit everybody has but nobody talks about. Say it quietly and plainly, like a thought you had late at night.

  2. The proof everyone has

Contrast what we do capture or keep with what we skip, using an example every viewer can check against their own life. They should think "oh, that's me."

  3. The sensory details

List three tiny, specific sensory moments, like a sound, a chair, or a view, one short line each. These should make the viewer feel it in their chest, not just agree.

  4. The quiet loss

Describe how those ordinary moments disappeared without anyone announcing it. Keep it gentle and unhurried, never dramatic.

  5. The reframe

Close with what this habit really says about us, in one or two lines the viewer would send to a sibling. Leave them sitting with it rather than telling them what to do.

Your Studio follows these beats when it writes your script.

Why it worked

He picks up on something literally everyone does, photographing the special days and skipping the ordinary ones, which nobody has pointed out before.

The nostalgia and sensory details (dad in the same chair, the view from the back seat) make it visceral, so you feel it in your chest instead of just nodding along. A universal habit you can physically feel is exactly what people send to a sibling.
