Want to run the Assessment Gap yourself? It's an Instagram reel idea that adapts to any coaching business. See how a relationship coach for newly married couples and a money coach for freelancers would make it theirs.
The recipe
- Name the exact situation: Open on a moment they can answer yes or no to instantly. Not a feeling, a situation.
- Earn the ten minutes: Give one credible stat on why this matters before you ask for their time. Persuade first, instruct second.
- Hand over the exact steps: Name the assessment so they can find it by typing it into Google. Say how long it takes.
- Drop the credential sideways: Mention why the tool is legitimate as a throwaway aside, not a flex. It reads as reassurance instead of a claim.
- End on the one question: This is the whole product. The test is just the setup. Give them the question that turns results into a realization.

Why it worked
She does not invent anything. She points at a free, credible test that already exists, tells you exactly how to take it, and then hands over the one question that turns a results page into a realization. Where are you using these and where are you not. That question is the whole product. The test is just the setup.
Two stats do the persuading before she asks for ten minutes of your time, and the credential arrives as a throwaway aside rather than a flex, so it reads as reassurance instead of a claim.
Two rules make this repeatable. The assessment has to return a list rather than a label, because a ranked top five is what makes the gap question answerable. And the assessment should explain the symptom rather than measure it, because a tool that answers the complaint literally teaches them nothing.
Examples
A relationship coach for newly married couples
“If you keep having the same fight, you MUST try this.”
She sends them to the free 5 Love Languages quiz and asks which of your top two you are giving generously and never actually asking to receive.
A money coach for freelancers
“If you have no idea where your money actually goes, you MUST try this.”
She walks them through the Klontz Money Script Inventory and asks which script is running during the spending you cannot account for.
